Why Do We Collect Your Personal Information?
We only collect data that helps us to communicate with you and improve our services. We will never sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.

If you are a resident or legal representative where our Nobi Lights are installed within the Care Home, we collect data related to fall detection, movement patterns, and behavioural insights to improve care quality and ensure rapid response in emergencies. All data collected through Nobi Lights is anonymised where possible, with stick-figure representations used instead of identifiable images.

For residents in our care homes where Nobi Lights are installed, a Best Interest Decision may be required in cases where the resident lacks capacity to consent to monitoring. Any such decisions will be documented appropriately within the Nourish care system.

How Do We Keep Your Data Safe?
We take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. These measures include secure systems and protocols designed to keep your information safe.
For Nobi Lights monitoring data, all processing occurs within the device itself, ensuring that sensitive data does not leave the care environment unnecessarily. Data is encrypted and stored securely within Sussex Grange’s internal systems, only accessible by authorised staff.

How Long Will We Keep Your Data?
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

For Nobi Light-related data, motion and fall records are stored securely for a limited period, typically 90 days, before being permanently deleted unless retention is required for legal, safeguarding, or analytical purposes.

Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) – When you provide consent for us to contact you or process your data.

Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f)) – Where processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests, provided it does not override your rights and interests.
-
Vital Interests (Article 6(1)(d)) – In cases where data processing is necessary to protect your life, such as fall detection alerts from Nobi Lights that require immediate caregiver intervention.
If we rely on legitimate interests, we will ensure we balance our interests with your privacy rights.
